Shira Is Live
Shira is officially live. A farm management app built for Kenyan livestock farmers to track dairy, poultry, and swine operations from their phone.
Shira Is Live
Today we are excited to announce that Shira is officially live and available to livestock farmers across Kenya.
What is Shira?
Shira is a farm management app built specifically for Kenyan livestock farmers. Whether you run a dairy farm, a poultry operation, or a piggery, Shira gives you one place to track everything — from daily milk production to feed costs to animal health records.
What you can do with Shira
- Track production — record daily milk yields, egg collection, and weight gain across your herd or flock
- Manage animal health — log vaccinations, treatments, and vet visits with reminders so nothing slips through
- Monitor breeding — track heat cycles, insemination dates, and expected calving or hatching dates
- Control feed costs — record feed purchases and consumption to understand your cost per litre or per kilogram
- View farm finances — see income, expenses, and profitability at a glance without manual bookkeeping
- Works offline — record data in the field even without network coverage, and it syncs when you are back online
Built for Kenyan farms
We designed Shira around the realities of livestock farming in Kenya — smallholder and mid-size operations, M-Pesa as the default payment method, areas with unreliable connectivity, and the need for clear records when applying for credit or selling to cooperatives.
